<div class="JBMCode"> Luke Thompson is an English Language teacher from London but now he teaches English at a university in Paris, while working on other projects including Luke’s English Podcast. He started Luke’s English Podcast in 2009. He is also a stand-up comedian, which means that he likes to stand up in front of audiences of people, and make them laugh.  <br /><br />

He has experience of teaching courses in business English, academic English, legal English, general English and English for exam courses like FCE, IELTS and BEC.  <br /><br />

He graduated from Liverpool John Moore’s University in 1999 with a BA Hons degree in Media and Cultural Studies. He worked at various media production companies before going into English language teaching. He took his CELTA in 2001 and then his Higher Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (DELTA) in 2006 at UCL.   <br /><br />

He writes a lot of ELT materials, and he develops a lot of courses in business English and EAP. He has written original courses for English for the Pharmaceutical Industry, English for the Oil and Gas Industries and English for Journalists, as well as communication skills workshops in presentations, meetings and negotiations. He is a semi-published author with some of his work being used in materials publications in several countries.</div> <br /> <br />

• ✔ Relasjonell klasseledelse handler om lærerens evne til å skape gode relasjoner med elevene og bygge et godt læringsmiljø. Studenten/kandidaten bør få frem betydningen av gode relasjoner, samt kort hvordan læreren kan opprette og opprettholde dette til elevene. En god klasseleder har også gode relasjoner og forventninger til elevene, noe som har betydning for både motivasjon og læringsutbytte. Videre vil studenten/kandidaten som viser til konkrete eksempler og begrunner dette ut fra relevante begreper og forståelser bli honorert. <br /><br />

• ✔ For eksempel så har lærere med gode relasjoner til elevene mindre atferdsproblemer, og det har en stor effekt på elevens læringsutbytte (Nordahl, 2008). Studenten/kandidaten kan også vise til at lærer-elev relasjonen er asymmetrisk, og er ikke likestilt, men skal være likeverdig. Læreren må utøve en form for kontroll, samtidig som han er støttende og anerkjennende. Studenten/kandidaten kan også trekke inn andre begreper fra klasseledelse, som autoritær og autoritativ lærer. I denne oppgaven kan altså studenten/kandidaten velge ulike tilnærminger og begreper for å beskrive hva relasjonell klasseledelse innebærer. <br /><br /> </div> <br /><br />

<div class="JBMCode"> This paper discusses how the curriculum is shaped by the situational logic of a technology-filled classroom, and how this logic is under the influence of ideas about student–teacher interactions and ‘do-it-yourself learning’. It analyses case material from a school using game theory. Free access in the classroom to the Internet, games, and chatting makes it difficult for the teacher to control the students’ operations. When a student deems a threat to be empty, it is not rational for that student to allow the threat to influence his or her own actions. The laissez-faire regime is a result of rational considerations made by both parties. However, when students do not assume responsibility for learning, an accountability failure arises as a rational response to the design of the institutional framework. </div> <br /> <br />
